Born To Be Blue. New film about Chet Baker, my most favourite musician in the whole world.
What an awful travesty, to take a slice of his life where he was at his worst, and sideline the amazing body of work he left behind.
This movie is, in my opinion, as uncreative and unlovely as his music was inspirational and beautiful.
I’m not a movie critic but I am a performer. And those moments, where one is in one’s bliss, the only reason why performers perform, were rare.
How can one make a movie of Chet Baker and make it all about heroin?
Eeeeeesh.
Don’t see it and pander to people who only find glory in gore.
